Kevin Piepel manipulates pigmented molten beeswax in his encaustic paintings to form patterns and symbols that flow together creating a visual harmony between the known and the mysterious.

Kevin grew up in Wenatchee Washington and moved to Seattle in 1986 to study art at the University of Washington where he earned a BFA in printmaking and a BA in general art. Kevin currently lives in Seattle and his primary focus is encaustic painting.   For more information:  kpiepel@comcast.net
